The Beginning

Hello to all who may have wandered this far into my corner of the internet. I do not charge a toll, nor do I require you to answer riddles. All this is, is a chance for me to post my favorite past time and possibly share it with anyone who is interested.

First off, I have posted old short stories in links on the 'writing' page. These short stories were submitted to the Writers of the Future competition and did not win in any way shape or form. In fact, going back, I can see many flaws and mistakes that I hope that I wouldn't make today. Why do I post these then, you may ask? I like to remember how far I've come. Feel free to comment and tell me how you feel about these stories.

Currently, I am working on a completely over ambitious series with the tentative title: The Technology Protocols. I have planned out six novels of two trilogies separated by a number of years. The series mashes together elements of science fiction and fantasy set in our Solar System. Humanity has populated the solar system, but the Technology Protocols have halted technology. How long can humanity prosper when the very technology they rely on to survive is not understood? And what secret threatens to tear apart humanity if it ever gets out?

The first book is titled Virulent Venus, and is 100% complete. I am putting together an agent list to query now and will keep this blog up-to-date on my efforts to get this published. Book two, Angry Mars, has 80k words in a first draft, ready to edit. However, if there is no interest in Virulent Venus, I may shelve it or work on it in my down time and start my next project: The Soulmate Project.
